Maine West's V‑Show, "A Family Reunion," was ready to go and open to the public on Nov. 15, 16, 17, and 18. This year's V‑Show was totally different from any V‑Show in previous years.
The two‑act show consisted of 23 scenes revolving around a central plot. The main character in the show was Bernard, who was played by Mark Halverson '80. The 23 performances in the show were extremely varied and were very entertaining to the audience," said Ms. Sandra Bonde, the director of the play. The acts ranged from magic tricks done by the Stems, to a performance of "Swan Lake" by some members of the varsity football team, complete with tu‑tus.
Senior performers in other acts were Kathy Bashem, Paul Dombrowski, Jim Mix, Sheila Nelson, Judy Rompf, Jeanme Sansone, Eva Seidler, Margie Sjostrand, and Kim Williams.
Juniors were Julis Farrell, Bryan Hand, Fred Klee, Alina Komendowski, Eileen Lorz, Maureen O'Malley, Frank Melchert, Debbie Preiss, Carol Schwitzenburg, Paul Sieben, Mary Slapke, Eileen Terry, and Sheila Wall.

Sophomores were Marcie Bakker, Mike Drelicharz, Steve Lipar, and Sue Weaver. Freshmen were Ed Johnson and Maritta Kuula and Kim Williams.
Other acts included a song, "Junk Food Junkie," done by the Kavanaugh sisters and "Home" by the Choraliers. Camilla Mencinger '79 did a piano solo, and Anjula Lal '79 performed an East Indian folk dance. Ellen Tolstad performed a ballet.
The majority of the performers were included in one of the show's highlights, a disco scene with very elaborate set designing done by Ms. Michelle diCarlo. Ms. Bonde said, "The disco scene was really great. It had smoke, and the lighting was really sensational." Beowolf also performed in this scene of the V‑ Show. Beowolf is a rock band made up of Pat Clark '80, Kevin Downing '79, Rich Tiesi '79, and Mark Wolford '79.
The directors of the pit band for V‑Show were Steve Hines '80 and Andy McCarthy '81. Stage managers were Bridgette Leber and Anne Liebich. In charge of make‑up was Diane Pascolini. Assisting her was Joanne Stein.
