The Maine West Warrior varsity football team lost a good defensive battle on Oct. 27 by a score of 7‑0. They played their traditional rival, the Maine South Hawks. The Warriors' defense held the Hawks to one touchdown in the first quarter but couldn't score. |
On Nov. 3 the Warriors ended their season at Maine East against the Demons and were defeated by a score of 23‑16. Starting quarterback, Mark Voss, was injured in the first quarter and was replaced by Tim Richardson who almost brought the Warriors to a great comeback but threw a costly interception as time ran out on the Warriors. Touchdowns in this game were scored by Gary Crossland with Perry Carlini catching the conversion pass. Crossland scored again on a 65‑yard run. Jim Lamberty caught the conversion pass. This loss dropped the Warrior's record to two wins and seven losses. |
