Blizzard '79

BY JANET FILIPS

The blizzard of '79
Is weighing on my mind.
Ten foot piles,
For miles and miles,
An icy street
Is a pain on the feet.
I hope the snow will go
Because it's making my spirits low.
The blizzard of '79
Is weighing on my mind.
With the hounding press
And the constant mess
The snow has turned unkind.
Well, Mother Nature, you take the blame
For making up play this unpleasant game.
So please, next time reconsider
Or we may end up hating winter.
