Girls Choose Theme

This year's Girl's Choice Dance entitled, "We Have Tonight," will be held Saturday, Mar. 10, in the auditorium. Tickets are $5 per couple and are on sale in the bookstore.

The dance will be held from 8-11 p.m. The Jim Bestman Band will provide the entertainment. They will play a variety of music from the top 40 hits and other types of dance music.

Student Council is spending much on decorations this year. The auditorium will be decorated in a nightclub atmosphere. Tables will be put around the inside of the auditorium where hors d'oeuves and punch will be served instead of the usual cookies and Kool‑aid.

When you go to purchase your ticket in the bookstore, you will be presented with a heart. On the heart, you are to place your and your date's name on it. When you arrive at the dance, you will have to find your heart on the wall in the auditorium.

The idea of the Girl's Choice Dance is to let the girls have a chance at asking the guy of their choice to the dance instead of the other way around. The girl then pays for the whole thing including tickets and dinner.

Jaime Minor, head of the refreshments committee, commented, "With all the new ideas incorporated into the dance this year, it should be a great success."
