The 1979 girls' badminton season began Feb. 15. The young varsity team opened their season with a win over Forest View and a loss to New Trier East on Feb. 20.

The varsity team consists of Liz Bock, Ruth Dalsky, Meg Gravesmill, Captain Margie Hahn, Jean Hoch, Denise Jenderzak, Maryval Kleisner, Hilda Mascshmann, Renee Psyhogios, Sharon Studtman, Georgann Weisgerber, and Debbie Wilhelm.
