Mr. Elwood Hughes has been named as the Distributive Education Coordinators' of Illinois "Man of the Year." He was given the award based on a nomination by his peers, his activeness in DECI functions, his willingness to give extra time to serve the DECI, as well as the success of his students in DECI competition, and his good reputation throughout the organization.

He received the award at this year's Career Development Conference held at the O'Hare Ramada Inn on Mar. 1, 2, and 3. Said Mr. Raymond Ross, Business Education Department chairman, of Mr. Hughes' performance, "I wish to congratulate Mr. Elwood Hughes for receiving this most coveted award in his field."
