This year's Girl's Choice Dance entitled, "We Have Tonight," was held Saturday, Mar. 10, from 8‑11 p.m. in the auditorium. The dance proved to be a success.
The Jim Bestman Band provided a variety of music including hits from the top 40 and other types of dance music such as the polka and the hokey‑pokey.
Student Council spent much time in decorating the auditorium this year. The decorations included tables around the inside of the auditorium where hors d'oeves were served instead of the usual cookies and Kool‑aid. With all these decorations, the auditorium had a nightclub atmosphere.

When the tickets were purchased in the bookstore, you were presented with a heart. On the heart, you were to place you and your date's name on it. When you arrived at the dance, you had to find your heart on the wall in the auditorium.
The idea of the Girl's Choice Dance was to let the girls have a chance at asking the guy of her choice to the dance instead of the other way around. The girl then paid for the whole thing including tickets and dinner.
