Underclassmen Helping Golfers |

| Golf is off to a very good start this season. On their first game against Niles North the Varsity won, 168-185. The lowest scorer was Scott Martini with 35 one under par. The sophomore level also won, 184-236. On Friday, Sept. 5, the Warriors were again victorious against Conant. The varsity won, 181-189. Low scorers were Martini with 37, Jim Carroll with 45, Scott Wastyn with 49, and John Gafrick with a score of 50. The sophomore team also was victorious against Conant by a score of 171-218. Their third game was played on Tuesday, Sept. 9, against Evanston. The varsity team lost, 171-164. Wastyn was the lowest scorer with 41. |
The sophomore level, however, was victorious over Evanston by a final score of 177-203. The Warriors played Maine North on Wednesday, Sept. 10. Both the varsity and the sophomore teams were victorious. Scores were 162-171 and 167-218 respectfully. Once again the low scorer was Martini with 37. Two of the Warriors' golf games have been rescheduled on account of rain. On Friday, Sept. 12, Maine West was to play Glenbrook South. Glenbrook North was to be played on Tuesday, Sept. 16. The varsity coach for this year's golf season is Mr. Eugene Zuccarini. |
