Boys' Gymnastics Place In Districts |

| The Maine West gymnastic team scored an all-time high of 130.8 on Thursday, May 7 in District competition. Mike McCabe and Tim Harris led the way finishing first and second in the all-around. Harris' average score was a season high of 6.85 and McCabe's was a 7.408, also a season high. Harris and McCabe also finished second and third in floor exercise. McCabe was later given the meet's highest score of 9.2 on the vault. |
Harris placed fifth in vaulting behind McCabe's first place and was also awarded fifth place in parallel bars. McCabe placed third in the pommel horse and won second on the horizontal bar. Wayne Fite placed second on the still rings. The gymnasts next competed in sectionals which were held at Niles North on Wednesday, May 13. |
