This Year's V-Show Sparkles With South of Many 'Voices' |
||||||||||
| It won't be long until you start to hear "Voices." But don't worry, you will probably find that you will enjoy it. "Voices" is the title of this year's V-Show. Unlike previous shows, this year's show will be performed in three acts, with two intermissions. The sections will be entitled Voices of the Past, Voices of the Present, and Voices of the Future. The title "Voices" developed from the song "One Voice," which will be the opening production number in the show. A medley of vaudeville numbers will also be featured in Voices of the Past. The musical numbers performed in Voices of the Present will be "Spreading Rhythm Around" and from the play Grease, "Summer Nights." "Ease on Down the Road" from The Wiz will be the main number in Voices of the Future. |
To help out with the production numbers, a professional choreographer was hired from the Candlelight Dinner Theatre. The band, under the supervision of Mr. Paul Magnussun, will be located on stage instead of in the orchestra pit. On Sept. 30 and Oct. 1 and 2, general tryouts were held with over 50 people trying out. "Looks like we have a lot of new and exciting talent," was the comment of Mrs. Debra Pitton, the director. This year's student director, Michael Stein '81, as well as writing staff, Lori Stein '81, Jeff Mader '81, Greg Stahl '81, and Ed Johnson '82, have been working hard for several weeks planning and creat-ing the show. |
