Cross Country Doing Fine

The Maine West cross country teams are having a very successful season this year. However, there are some areas that still need some work. From Sept. 4 until Nov. 8 the teams will have a very busy schedule.

Every Tuesday and Saturday the teams have meets. Practices are every day. The first meet after Sept. 19 was at Libertyville. The course was very hilly, and John Dobbs was, once again, the first Warrior to finish. The following meet was held here at Maine West against Glenbrook South.
They then traveled to Oak Park for an invitational. Winners included Dobbs. Lory Tonske was from the girls' team. The next spot was at Maine East in which they also ran against Glenbrook South.

The meet at Ridgewood was last Saturday, Oct. 4; the teams turned out to be great. The junior varsity team had the following winners: Jim McArdle, Rusty Becker, Ed Johnson, and Kurt Danielson.
