'Voices,' V-Show, Begins Practice

The cast for this year's V-Show, "Voices," was selected on Oct. 13. Mrs. Debra Pitton, the show's director, and Michael Stein '81, the student director, chose the cast of about 70 students.

The cast consists of dancers, singers, actors, and a number of specialty acts. One of the specialty acts is an accordion solo to be performed by Adrian Alvarez '84. Other acts include songs performed by the rock band, "Misfire," a modern routine done by the Pom Pon Squad, a futuristic dance performed by the Orchesis Club, and a magic act performed by Michael Stein '81.
Several cast members were chosen to perform solos in the show. Judith Atol '82 will sing "The Rose." Amy Stoneburner '82 will perform the song, "You Can't Get a Man With a Gun." Andy McCarthy '81 will have a solo in the "Summer Nights" production number with Linda Davis '82 having the female solo. Lisa Marquette '81 will sing "Air" from the musical, Hair. In addition, Laurie Nissen '81 and Jean O'Keefe '82 will perform a duet with guitars and vocals. They will later be joined by Mike McLaughlin '82. Singing a solo in "Ease on Down the Road" will be Lisa Ochal '82. Mr. James Borowski will be featured in a teacher vs. student scene with Ed Johnson '82.
