Orchestra To Hold Concert

A concert will be performed by the Maine West Concert Orchestra on Tuesday, Nov. 25. This concert will begin at 7:30 p.m. in the MW auditorium.

An Art Recognition and Talent Search is being held for 17 and 18-year-olds, as well as high school seniors. This competition is designed to identify and encourage young people who have demonstrated excellence in dance, music, theater, visual arts, and writing. The Illinois Editors' Safety Seminar is once again sponsoring a traffic safety essay contest for seniors. The topic for this year's contest is "Teenage Drivers: Are They Getting Better or Worse?" Interested students should write Seminar Headquarters, 66 E. South Water Street, Chicago, Ill. 60601 no later than Dec. 31. 1980. The 10 chosen winners will receive $500 AAA Chicago Motor Club scholarships.

Haircuts will be given to men and women at Maine West on Sunday, Nov. 2 from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Proceeds from this event go to the Walker family, whose son, James, a MW senior, is paralyzed from the neck down due to a car accident. Costs are $11.50 for men and $11.50 and up for women. Call 298-0063 for an appointment.
