Tennis Team Having Respectable Season |

| The tennis team has had an equal mix of strong and weak meets so for this season. On Sept. 17 the Maine West girls' tennis team played against first-seeded Prospect, and the varsity team proudly defeated them. The score for the varsity team was 4-3. In singles Kathy Cooper and Stephanie Baker won strongly. The doubles teams of Donna Logisz and Debbie Lindeman and Pat Cook and Chris Melling were victorious. The Jr. varsity team lost 2-5. |
On Sept. 18 the team played against Glenbrook North only to lose on both varsity and Jr. varsity levels. The varsity lost 3-4 and Jr. varsity lost, 2-6. Oct. 7 the team played Maine East and both levels were defeated again. The next day, Oct. 8, the team played Conant High School. This time both levels were victorious with varsity players Cooper, Lindeman, Baker, and Cook all winning in singles. All the doubles teams were winners. The Jr. varsity players in singles were victorious also. |
