'Voices' To Be Presented By 1980 V-Show Cast

For the last six weeks, the 1980 V Show cast has been in strenuous rehearsal preparing a production that they hope will make Maine West proud.

The director, Mrs. Debbie Pitton, along with student director, Michael Stein '81, music director, Mr. Paul Magnusson, and choreographer, Mr. Brian Lynch, have chosen the following students to be a part of either the chorus, dance! chorus, or acting company.

Seniors in the production are Jennifer Botte, Kathy Brand, Nancy Esposito. Laura Fisher, Lisa Marquette, Jeff Mader. Andy McCarthy, Shawn Murphy, Laurie Nissen, Pam Peca, Greg Stahl, and Michael Stein.

Juniors are Pete Ahlman, Judy Atol, Ken Begg, Tom Bishop, Julie Coburn, Linda Davis, Grace Hajost, Ed Johnson, Catherine Jordan, Suzanne Kadlec, Julie Laughlin, Kathy Lyons, Rich McCullough, Andy McCune, Mike McLaughlin, Laura Meisterheim, Andy Muchony, Pat Murphy, Lisa Ochal, Jean O'Keefe, Denise Preiss, Dave Ratner, Bonnie Schuerman, Amy Stoneburner, Julie Weber, and Sharon Weiszmann.
Sophomores include Bridget Brand, Carol Chase, Sandy Hoffman, Joanna Heinker, Purvi Parikh, Molly Sullivan, and Vilma Vega. Freshman participating are Chris Dettman, Jenny Reese, Karyn Stein, and Tom Wilhelm.

Additional speciality acts include a musical trio comprised of Mary Brady, '83, Catherine Jordan, and Pam Peca, singing "Second Hand Rose"; Michael Stein and Kathy Brand in a duet scene from "A Company of Wayward Saints"; Phill Pazdioch '82 and Company performing as "The Blues Band"; and Laura Stein will perform a parody of "Close to You." Michael Stein will present a magical illusion that has never been performed on stage before.

The Jazz Band will accompany the chorus and dancers through "One Voice." "Summer Nights," "Ease on Down the Road," and "Spreadin' Rhythm Around." A medley of vaudeville songs will also be included. The emcee of the show will be WMTH announcer, Michael Bashem '81.

The V-Show, entitled "Voices," will be presented Dec. 11-13 at 8 p.m. in the Maine West auditorium. Reserved seats, which will be sold only in advance, may be ordered through the Maine West Bookstore, 827-6176, or the Student Council office, ext. 438, for $2.50. Tickets for general seating will be sold at the door for the same price.
