| Maine West presented its annual V-Show on Dec. 11-13. From the response the show was a great success. Besides those performing on stage, many students were involved behind the scenes. Student Council advisers, Mrs. Gail Macdonald and Mr. James Borowski, helped produce the show. The faculty director was Mrs. Debbie Pitton. Jennifer Botte '81 was responsible for the publicity. Besides the student director, Michael Stein '81, four other students worked on the writing staff of the show. They were Ed Johnson '82, Jeff Mader '81, Greg Stahl '81, and Laura Stein '81. The technical director of the show, Mr. Robert Norris, was assisted by his stage managers, Lori Anderson '82 and Tom Wright '81. Eric Hoppner '81 directed the lighting effects. The set crew included Mike Curtis '81, Julie Laughlin '82, Sheryl Miller '83, Trudy Weissmantle '84, Joe Marciniak '81, Donna Wright '82, Julie Wrobel '83, and the technical theater class. Costume assistants were Jennifer Botte, Michael Stein, and Laura Stein. The make-up crew consisted of Margaret Bashem '83, Deann Bialczak '82, Sara Blew '83. |
Candy Braid '83, Lisa Smith '83, and Brenda VanDigglen '83. Jennifer Botte and Angie Kavanaugh '81 were the chairmen. The properties were taken care of by seniors, Laura Fisher and Pam Peca. Those working on the lighting crew were Jim Bock '84, Ken Chiakas '84, John Goetschi '83, Erik Krantz '83, Gary Lamp '82, Rick Szafarz '82, Mike Thompson '81. Ted Kahn '83, Frank Liquiori '84, and Jane Vogel '83, assisted on the sound crew. Mark Kelsey '81 served as chairman. Mr. Paul Magnusson, music director, was assisted by the music staff of Lori Malina '83, Mike McLaughlin '82, and Matt Ulbert '82. Special recognition and thanks are also given to the choreographer, Mr. Brian Lynch of Candlelight Dinner Theatre, Angie Kavanaugh '81 for her poster and program designs, The Maine West Jazz Band, Student Council, and Mrs. Debbie Pitton for all of their dedicated efforts toward this show. Michael Stein, student director, said, "I feel that the variety show was a success, and I enjoyed working with the entire cast!" |
