Cagers Improving Playing Steadily |

| The varsity basketball team has been playing steadily improving ball this year. The team's overall record now stands at 4-5, and their conference record is 1-1. In the Thanksgiving Tournament the Warriors took second place losing to Ridgewood, 35-33, in overtime. Against Evanston the Warriors lost, 59-44. Then against a tough Surz team, the Warriors won, 63-61. The Warriors then won again, 59-47, against Senn High School. The Warriors again won by beating New Trier West, 49-48. The Warriors beat Elk Grove by a score of 50-48. But the Warriors lost to Highland |
Park, 56-52. The Warriors lost to a tough Rolling Meadows team, 33-31, and then to Libertyville, 56-49. Dave Hund and Tim English have been turning in consistent play. Dan Batka has also been steadily improving. The rest of the team is Rusty Becker, guard; Jerry Kleiner, guard; Ken Edwards, forward Dean Vaia, forward; and Steve Kampschorer, forward. The Warriors play at home tonight, against Glenbrook North. On Dec. 26 the Warriors travel to the Wheeling Invitational. |
