Nissen, Ladendorf To Head Cast In Showing of 'Sound of Music'

The Maine West Music Department has announced the 1981 Musical, The Sound of Music. Out of 150 auditions the following students have been chosen to perform in this production.

Laurie Nissen '81 and Doug Ladendorf '82 will portray the two lead roles of Maria Rainer and Captain Georg Von Trapp. Jim Teevans '82 and Suzy Kadlec '82 will perform the supporting roles of Max Detweiler and Elsa Schraeder. Also cast in supporting roles are Amy Stoneburner '82 as Liesl, Phill Pazdioch '82 as Rolf Gruber and Lisa Ochal '82 as the Mother Abbess. Those performing as the children will be Jerome Fitzgerald '82, Catherine Jordan 82, Jackie Mudd '82, and Tom Wright '81. To cast the two
youngest children, the directors held auditions for the younger sisters and friends of the cast. Those chosen were Cheryl Coburn and Wendy Stein.

Others who have been chosen for speaking roles are Mike Bashem '82, Jennifer Botte '81, Bridgett Brand '83, Carol Chase '83, Laura Fisher '81, Andy Muchony '82, Rob Pascolini '81, and Dave Ratner '82.

Those in the nuns chorus are Grace Hajost '82, Robin Johnson '82, Jan Locke '81, Pam Peca '81, Bonnie Scheuerman '82, Karyn Stein '84, Lori Stein '81, and Leeann Stentzel '82. The singing solos in the nuns chorus will be by Julie Coburn '82, Linda Davis '82, and Kathy Lyons '82.
