Spring Fever Helps Student Decide on Next Year's Plan

BY LIBBY CLAUS

Spring fever everyone catches it, and it seems incurable. Every time it hits you, you feel as though aren't going to make it through those three months. So you do everything you can to avoid it but, there's nothing at all you can do about it.

I'm realizing more and more, and even more now that spring vacation is getting closer and closer, that I have this dreadful disease. It causes me not to study and makes me think that guys are more interesting than the Depression of the 1930's, even though some guys can cause a great depression in your own life.

This spring vacation I'm going to California for the first time, and I can hardly wait. There's a disappointment, though, and that is I can't bring home a guy in a doggy bag or even my suitcase for that matter. Don't I wish I could! Imagine me bringing home a guy from California to each of my girlfriends. This would probably be the greatest achievement in my life.

I'm not very finicky about the guys I'd pick. They could be tall or short, not real short - just three inches taller than I (which should be relatively easy). I like a guy who has a good head on his shoulders. On that head should be average length hair, in the color of brown, blonde, black, or anything but red because we wouldn't want to
look like two fireballs. He may have blue eyes, green, or brown - just as long as he has eyes for me. What else? Athletic type, intelligent, and interested in me. Only me. A guy who could say poetry to me. A dancer, a millionaire, one who speaks French, one who can sing, and one who owns a Porsche or a Mercedes Benz. He would look absolutely wonderful in a moustache. I mustn't forget that we would spend evenings horseback riding into the sunsets on the Pacific Ocean shores. That's not too much to ask for, is it?

A guy has different opinions on what he wants in a girl. Some enjoy the looks of Bo Derek, others include Brooke Shields, Victoria Principal, Charlene Tilton, Farrah Fawcett, Cheryl Tiegs, and many more. Instead of only hoping for them, guys, who don't you look around here at Maine West? That goes for you girls, too.

Where would you look at Maine West? It all depends on what kind of guy or girl you like. Are you looking for a musician, an artist, or one that enjoys working on cars, or possibly the kind that studies hour after hour? Where would I look for the kind of guy I like? I'll never tell. That's between my counselor and me. Just be sure to take some of those classes next year for meeting that special guy or girl. Or, you could find one now! Then you'll have spring fever, and you're going to agree it's one of the better feelings around.
