Support vital for 'West Fest'
When so many of our annual events are now being cancelled or discontinued, it may seem odd that preparations for a new event are underway. This event is "West Fest", Maine West's carnival that will take place April 30.
Will this event be a successful one? Will it become an annual event? The answers to these questions rest on the students, clubs, and faculty.
If clubs are organized and are willing to put in the time and effort it takes to run such an event, there's a good possibility that the carnival will be a success. Thirteen clubs have already committed themselves and should be commended for all their efforts to make "West Fest" a memorable event for our school community.
We strongly urge students, especially underclassmen and faculty to show their support by coming to "West Fest". The carnival could be a success if ample support is shown. If not, the future existence of many fine clubs and organizations may be jeopardized.
