After being cut last year, Pete Zajac made a comeback and was voted captain of the varsity basketball team by his teammates this year. As a guard on the team Pete was always matched against the best player on the opposing team. According to Coach Bob Goerne, "He gave everything that he had and he worked as hard as he could. Knowing the parameters that he had to work in, I think that he did an outstanding job." Pete is also a pitcher on the baseball team. He pitched three shutouts in a row this year.
