The Maine West Mothers for Scholarship Club awarded 14 Maine West seniors scholarships to aid them in their future education. Ellen Duntemann, Chris Dreys. Kurt Fischer, Linda Fridley, Laureen Grevan, Karen Hanson, John Kilcullen. Sheryl Miller, Sharon Nowak, Ginger Peterson, Peter Szwed, and Robert Tortorelli each received a $500 scholarship to aid them in attending four year colleges. Colleen Kott and Robin Natzke each received $250 scholarships to aid them in meeting their junior college tuition bills.

The criteria for selection was that the students show promise for continued success, need financial assistance, have participated in school activities and have shown overall scholastic achievement.
