Karen has been a four year member of the swim team and has been active in Swim Guards and Aquiana. She was a member of the badminton team for four years, and a junior and senior leader. Karen was a key member of the state champion fencing team which took third place i the midwest championships. Karen has been active in West Women, Mixed Chorus, Concert Choir, Madrigal Dinner, and has been a library aide. Among her academic achievements are; Science Award, Spanish Award, two business Awards, a History Award and a Home Economics Award. Karen has also been a member of Tri‑M and the National Honor Society.
