Besides the latest music, we're also seeing the results of tres shiek designers' fall fashion creations.
Nearly all designers have included denim in their fall lines. As David Whitacre stated in In Fashion, "We're particularly keen on denim in its classic silhouettesoveralls, jean jackets and chambray shirts‑and in its classic indigo color‑naturally dark, stonewashed or super‑bleached."
Aimee Eilken '87 feels "gold and silver accessories will stay popular. The western look and khaki clothing will be in," Joe Kim '87 stated, "Cut out jeans and the color white will be in, and plus, everyone needs a pair of loafers."
Actually, a new fashion trend has started recently concerning loafers. Just for a ''change,'' dimes are being placed in the inserts instead of pennies. Another timely trend includes wearing a string or band around your wrist.
Togo really out and outrageous, wear a watch around your ankle, just pray that no one asks you what time it is.
Aimee Eilken models at Woodfield on the weekends and notices that the fashion for fall includes, "tighter, long skirts under big, bulky swedters and big belts, hanging low as an accessory."
As for jackets this fall, a jean jacket serves as the classic look. Studs on jean jackets are becoming popular just to add attraction to the plain jean style of most of' the jackets, For those with a more individualistic method of dressing, a trench coat looks good with a pair of faded jeans. Fading out this fall are big bulky jackets.
Look for a more tailored style when shopping for a fall coat.
