Third Annual Homecoming
Now Planned

Plans are already in the making for this year's Homecoming. The game will be played on Friday, October 20, and the dance will be on Saturday, October 21.

The theme for this year's floats is "Literature." Any ideas from novels, plays, essays, and poems will be acceptable.

There will again be a parade of floats through downtown Des Plaines. The parade will continue to Maine East where the floats will be shown during the half‑time of the varsity game.

Nominations for Homecoming queen will begin in October. The nominating will be open only to juniors and seniors.

During homecoming week, the nominees will wear name tags and their pictures will be posted in the cafeteria so all the classes may become acquainted with them.

A preliminary ballot in all homerooms will cut the nominees down to 10. The 10 finalists for queen will be introduced in the assembly on Thursday, October 19. After the assembly, the students will vote for the candidates of their choice.

The new queen and her court will be announced at the football game on Friday, and they will be guests of honor at the Homecoming dance on Saturday.
