PTC Plans Open House

Parents of Maine West students are invited to the first of two fall Open Houses which will come on Thursday, October 12 from 7 to 10 p.m. according to Mr. R. A. Wells, assistant principal.

School will be dismissed at 2:20 p.m. with the eighth period being omitted.

"The purpose of Open House," explained Mr. Wells, is to help parents and teachers become better acquainted. Since so many parents want to talk to teachers, we must limit the time for each parent to a few

minutes in most instances. We want to stress this is not an occasion for long conversations about problems that should be discussed at some other time and place."

Hosts and hostesses are being arranged by the PTC this year instead of by the individual teachers. A listing of all the rooms and where to find the teachers will be made available to parents.

The second of the scheduled Open Houses will be on Tuesday, October 24.
