College Bound Need A.C.T.
Attention all college bound students, junior or senior! Have you registered to take the American College Testing program examination on Saturday, Nov. 4? Seniors who wish to enter the Illinois State Scholarship Commission program should remember that they are required to take the ACT test for acceptance to the program.
Nearly 600 colleges demand that their prospective students submit ACT scores and related data to be used for admission, counseling, placement in class sections. Scores are sent to three colleges of the student's choice, as well as to Maine West, and a report is provided for the student.
Registration forms and information booklets are available in the Personnel office. The cost is $3 and the deadline for registering is October 14. Applications to the Illinois State Scholarship Commission program must be postmarked no later than 12 p.m., November 1 for consideration.
The three-hour exam will be given on Saturday morning, November 4, at a test center on a college campus near here.
