Theater Club

"Why can't the English learn to speak?" This question will soon be answered for the Theater club. Eighty‑four tickets for My Fair Lady have been ordered for Thursday, Oct. 5, announced Mr. Marlin Davis, sponsor.

Pam Meyer '62, president; Carol Koscal '62, secretary; and Frances Ford '62, treasurer related that the purpose of this organization is to give students interested in drama a chance to see the popular plays of the season.

The Theater club also hopes to see "Kicks and Company," "The Sound of Music," and "Bye Bye Birdie" in the near future.

Pegasus Club

Horse‑back riders, one and all, are welcome to join the Pegasus club, sponsored by Mrs. Jeanine Jekel.

Thirty new members were received at the year's first meeting held Sept. 6, in A‑109. This brings the current club membership to a total of 60, doubling last year's roster. Officiating at this meeting were president, Gale Bauman '62; vice-president, Kathy Glade '62; and secretary, Karen Johnson '64.

The club rides for an hour every Monday afternoon, and the fee for members amounts to $2. Bus transportation will be provided from the front entrance of school to and from Idle Hour stables.

Pegasus club's activities throughout the year include an after‑dance, a Christmas party, and a banquet. In addition to these activities, and as a climax to the club's season a horse show is held every April at which time ribbons and trophies are presented.

Pep Club

Pep rallies, buses to the away games, a card section, and the Kick‑off dance are just a few of the things the Pep club is sponsoring this year. Dues are 50 cents, and everyone is invited to come and cheer for the team.

President Barb Larsen '62; vice‑president Carol Eustice '62; secretary Sue Pyron '62; and treasurer Nancy Franczkowski '65, are the new officers. Carol Christ '62, Leah Forcell '64, Barb Georgans '63, Mary Jefferson '65, Nancy Jonas '63, and Carol Kristen '63 make up the executive board for Pep club.
