The honor of being this year's first Warrior of the Week is bestowed upon senior Dave Larsen. This blond-haired, blue-eyed boy is carrying out the duties of fullback on this year's varsity football team. "Swede," as he is commonly called by his friends, is an import from Minnesota.
Just last Wednesday Dave was elected vice‑president of "M" club. He earned his numerals in football and baseball his sophomore year, and last year as a junior received his letter in these two sports. He was a pitcher and second baseman on last year's baseball team, which was the conference champion.
Thick steaks and chicken are Dave's favorites in the food department, Sports, soft music, non‑fiction books, and girls are the hobbies Dave enjoys. When asked about pet peeves, he listed girls who wear too much make‑up as number one.
"Being voted most valuable player of the freshman football team," was Dave's biggest thrill among his past experiences. Commenting on this year' s team, "Swede" said, "We have a good team, and we should do well." Although he was disappointed after last week's loss to Proviso West, Dave thinks the team will do better from now on.
