Appearing on the WBBM‑TV program Rebuttal, on April 7, will be two members of t he Maine West debate team.

Craig Seitz '62, and Joe Waters '62, will take the affirmative side of the question "Should the federal government give grants-in-aid to Presidential campaigns?" The negative opponents will be from Aurora East High school.

Dave MacDonald '62, managing editor of the Westerner, will give a description of Des Plaines, with pictures, midway through the program.

Should Maine West win, they will be eligible for the super sectionals and eventually the debate championship. The super sectionals consist of eight of the original 32 high schools in competition. Last year Proviso West won the debate championship.

In a preliminary debate Maine West defeated Thornton Fractional on the negative side of the question "Should the federal government extend the minimum‑wage law coverage?"

Debate coaches are Mr. Eric Edstrom, history teacher, and Miss Harriet Johnson, English teacher.
