How do we fight Communism? This question may seem unnecessary at the present time with the quiet which seems to have settled over the world, but maybe it is only the lull before the storm.
We have a good chance right now to look around, analyze the world situation, and determine what would be the best move to make against the Communists. Yes, against, for we can't always be on the defensive.
"But what can we students do?" you ask.
We can write letters to Congress urging action. We can try to figure out new ways of raising school spirit, which in turn would give a boost to our patriotism. We can hail free enterprise as the wonder that it is. We can develop our abilities,

academic as well as athletic, so that we can give a boost to society, rather than be a drag on it. We can make constructive criticism. We can do all of these things and many more because we live in a free country.
And if we do these things, will our country or the world be a better place in which to live? If it isn't, we will at least know that we are not letting the Communists be masters of our wills and bodies.
Will we let our grandchildren live under Communism, as Khrushchev boasts they will? Or will we fight as our forefathers did to make this land free, and keep it that way We hold an important part of the answer.
