Through the kindness of Mr. Leroy Vavrinek of 1561 Walnut Avenue in Des Plaines, Maine West's library is the proud possessor of Life magazines from 1939 to date. Here are the fads of yesterday, the faces that made news, and the weekly accounts of the battles of World War II.

Students are not allowed to remove the magazines from the library but are welcome to read them during school or before and after school hours.

The library is planning special exhibits and displays in observance of Library Week, April 9‑14.
