Prom Promises Nautical Theme

The highlight of the year, the Senior Prom, will be held June 1 from 8:30 to midnight The name for the prom has not been decided yet; however, the theme will be nautical.

Boys will drive to the front of the school. The couple will get out there, and a junior boy will park the car in the Butler Brothers' parking lot. After the dance is over, the couple will be chauffeured back to their car.

John Bernero and Jim Lunetto are the general chairmen for the dance. Janie Jacobs is in charge of the decorations Gail Schellin will handle the refreshments Scott Ross is in charge of publicity, and Roberta Schorr will take care of the bids.

The dance is formal. Boys should wear tuxedoes and girls formals with a corsage. There will be no door charge for the Prom and every senior should come. The underclassmen will take care of coat checking.

Wayne Fricano, entertainment chairman, has made arrangements for the Jay Kenny band to provide the entertainment.

"If everyone will cooperate, the Senior Prom will be a big success," announced Gail Schellin.

A late date affair will be held after the Prom if enough students are interested. However, their support is needed if the trip is to become a reality.
