All Maine West senior girls who plan to enter college in the fall and their mothers are invited to attend the annual Sorority Information party to be given by Northwest Suburban Panhellenic association on Sunday, April 29, from 3 to 5 p.m. in West Park fieldhouse, Des Plaines.
Mrs. Dale Fahnestock, 293 S. Wolf road, is chairman of the affair and explains that the purpose of the party is to help prospective college girls from Maine West and the Des Plaines area learn about rushing, sorority membership, and college life in general, and to answer any questions the girls or their mothers may have regarding this exciting experience.
Guest speaker at the April 29 Sorority Information party, according to Mrs. Fahnestock, will be Mrs. Burton S. Pearsall, nationally known sorority woman from Dundee, Illinois. Mrs. Pearsall, an honors graduate from Northwestern

university's school of speech, is a former national rushing chairman and province president of her Panhellenic group. She will be making her sixth appearance before Des Plaines senior girls and their mothers, having been guest speaker for this annual Panhellenic event in the area each year since 1957.
Also on hand at the Panhellenic party for Maine West senior girls will be several college girls from the area who will be happy to discuss various phases of pledging and sorority life with the seniors and their mothers.
Invitations will be sent to all senior girls who have indicated they plan to enter college in the fall; however, should any girl interested in attending not receive a card announcing the event, Mrs. Fahnestock may be contacted at VA4-4448 for further details and reservations.
