Rick Geertz '63, was given the Best American History student award as a highlight of the initiation of 39 new members of Historical Society Monday after school in the student lounge. Mrs. Walter Rohe, Park Ridge DAR representative, made the presentation.

All new members received the top scores in a competitive test in order to win history honors.

Certificates and medals were presented to the top seven scorers in the test: Ken Crepas '64, Rick Geertz '63, Mary Ann Gembicki '64, Ingrid Gustus '63, Carl Jefferson '63, Hal Landem '64 and Sue MacHattie '63.
