Thirty‑three Maine West seniors have been named recipients of State scholarships to any Illinois college of their choice from the American College Testing Program examination given on November 4, 1961.

Those seniors receiving awards are John Armbruster, Gayle Bauman, Bruce Berlet, Lawrence Bernett, James Callister, Betty Coffman, Kenneth Cornelius, Janet Edwards, Todd Gartner, Charlene Gertz, Brian Hales, Charles Hughes, Bruce Johns, Carole Koscal, Donald Mathieson, Mary Anna Matteson, and Dora McNeal, Kathy Neumann, Georgann Percival, Alan Petersen, Frank Prochaska,

Marcia Relph, Richard Salzman, Richard Schacht, Craig Seitz, Nancy Shields, Joy Staller, Phillip Wankat, Reino Warren, Vicki Webster, Charles Weil, Lee Wolf, and George Wrick, are also among the winners.

When asked about the nature of the test the seniors replied that the examination was a reasonable one although expecting it to be more difficult, they thought it was a very good general knowledge test.

Award acceptance must be returned no later than May 16.
