Rabbit Visits Football Team

By Mike Welter

We are always hearing that the teams need more players. The coaches send out their pleas by way of the "Daily Bulletin," and through members of the teams.

The varsity and JV football squads have about 50 players. Even so, new recruits are always welcome. At the Glen bard East game a new recruit did show up. He was a little late, but that didn't seem to bother him in the least.

A most important quality of a good football player is speed which the new recruit displayed with ability. He was a bit short on size which doesn't matter so much as one might think it does. This new

player, however, fairly hopped with speed. He ran circles around both our fastest runners, even outdistancing Glenbard's fastest players. But don't get your hopes too high. Unfortunately, this new corner who was trying to make the team was a cottontail rabbit

The bunny covered the field a couple of times before tiring of all the nonsense going on. As he started to exit, students who probably thought that he might be able to help save the game for the Warriors tried to catch him.

Finally, after giving them a merry chase, he left by way of a convenient hole under the fence.
