Experimental TV Introduced In
Classroom At West

Watching television while doing homework is frowned on by teachers, but those students in B‑218 U.S. History class who don't watch TV during 5b and 6 periods, may be seeing Mrs. Alice Aegerter, class teacher, after school.

Mrs. Aegerter teams up with a television to instruct the class. This TV teaching is an experiment. If it works out satisfactorily, it may be used in other classes. "So far," said Mrs. Aegerter, "it is very interesting."

Members of the class, John Lee '63, Al Slowik '63, and Tom Wasmund '63, are not quite sure they feel the same toward the TV as their teacher.

The programs were originated by MPATI, Midwest Program of Airborn Television instruction. Films are broadcasted from an airplane over a five state area. They come to the history class through channel 11. Purdue university, through the guidance of Mr. John Dickey, is the coordinator of the programs.
