Television gives us fine entertainment, as well as good news coverage and beneficial educational programs. We are truly blessed to be living in the age of TV, but we, the students of Maine West, have some great TV personalities around us every day.
Yes, that's right! Use your imagination and you will see that we are surrounded by numerous stars from various television programs. These stars are the members of our faculty. It's quite evident that many of our competent instructors closely resemble TV well‑knowns.
On Monday afternoon two of our teachers might be recognized on the ever‑popular Superman show. They are mild-mannered reporter and biology teacher Clark (Mr. Leroy Scott) Kent and his boss, the editor of the Daily Planet, Perry (Mr. Gerald Royer) White.
Tuesdays at 6:30 p.m. Marshall Matt (Mr. Ross Blake) Dillon, who now wears glasses, and his loyal companion Chester, alias Mr. David Henry, clean up Dodge city. This show is followed by the Dobie (Mr. James Kirkpatrick) Gillis show.

Wednesdays offer Speedway 500, a show concerning auto racing, starring Mr. Robert Schmidt and Mr. Eugene Zuccarini. By the way, for you late movie viewers Wednesday's movie is terrific. It's "Rebel's Lament" featuring Mr. Edwin Smith and Mr. Eric Edstrom. Bat (Mr. Edwin Anderson) Masters on highlights Thursday evening's viewing hours. "Sing Along with Mitch" (Mr. Richard Frey) is also presented in Thursdays.
Friday night brings to us several outstanding programs. At 7:30 there's the Flintstones with Fred (Mr. Wally Hommerding) Flintstone. This is followed by "77 Sunset Strip" with Stu (Mr. Ralph Caprio) Bailey. The evening is climaxed by Mr. Roy Kearns' performance on "The Twilight Zone."
Mr. Loren Miller and Mr. Joseph Jobst are guests on "Watch Mr. Wizard" Saturday morning. Jet Jackson (Mr. Gustave Carlson) races through outer space for a half hour at 12:30.
So there you have it. From time to time TV will claim new stars and most likely it will take them from our star-studded teaching staff. The next release will feature the female side of the faculty.
