Thirty‑one boys and one girl prove that there is an interest in chess at Maine West. This many students have signed up for the fall chess tournament which is now underway.

For anyone else interested there is still time to see Mr. Dean Buckingham, English teacher and club sponsor, or Chuck Arrigo '62, secretary of tournaments. Sign‑up room is C‑215.

Games will be played at the opponents' leisure time after matches are determined by selection of names out of a hat. The winner of two out of three games will advance until all players are eliminated except one.
