Question: What is your opinion about going steady?

"I don't think that you should go steady just for popularity. You should wait until you are the right age and sure that you really like the person," was the opinion of Pete Perri '65.

When the roving reporter asked Carol Bongiorno '64, for her comment about going steady, she replied, "If you are the type of person that always has to have someone to depend on, it's all right. But if you are not that type of person, going steady is not for you."

Dan Humay '63, also gave his opinion on the same subject. "I believe it's difficult to say whether or not going steady is proper. For some it might be fine; maybe not so fine for others," he commented.

Another student, Nancy Dwyer '62, said, "Going steady is great if the people involved have the maturity and common sense not to take it too seriously. Of course, this only applies to young people‑adults can work it any way they want to!"
