Prospect High School
Meet Our Interim Rivals

Tonight's opponents in football will be the Knights of Prospect High school in Mount Prospect.

Prospect is a three‑story, square, academic building built around a courtyard. A long, curving hallway contains home economics, art, music, cafeteria facilities, and the Little Theater. Another building houses the fieldhouse, gym, and shop areas.

Comprising the staff for over 2,840 students who reside in Wheeling, Prospect Heights, Mount Prospect, Elk Grove Village and Arlington Heights are 125 teachers.

Variety show, student‑faculty basketball game, Knightimes, freshmen orientation, and many other major activities are supervised by Prospects' Student Council which meets once a week.

Circle pins, colored cord gym shoes, velvet hair bows, knee length shorts, kilts, and boys' muted plaid slacks rate high in the Knights' dress, and yoyoing, a new sport, takes up many of their spare moments.

Good sportsmanship, senior rows at athletic events, Senior Yoyo day, Bermuda day, and a Senior class party are the main school traditions. This year, a group of seniors are producing an all‑senior cast movie to be entitled "The Attack of the Rhinokeet."
