Will Lounge Doors Open?
Dear Editor:
I would like to comment on the poor conduct of our students at the football games during the national anthem. I was not only shocked and humiliated, but quite embarrassed at what our visiting guests must think of this display. The screaming, yelling, talking, and chattering were bad enough, but when a group (probably freshmen) started purposely singing off key, I could have hit them! Don't these kids realize the wonderful opportunity we have in our country that others don't have? Doesn't the flag and what it represents mean a thing to them? If not, perhaps someone should educate them on the subject of respect!

Dear Editor:
A lot of the students have been protesting the late opening of the student lounge, yet they do nothing to speed the opening along. Perhaps this is because they are unaware of the reason for the delay.
If more students will take an active interest in helping as volunteer monitors, the problem will be solved. Apparently, everyone feels someone else should handle the job. Sorry kids, but it doesn't work that way. Passing the buck won't open the lounge doors.
