BY Bill Sopper
Seen on the roof
Is a sight in the snow.
'Tis a sleigh filled with gifts
Pulled by a glow.
Down through the chimney
Slides an old man
With such an odd figure
Not made by a plan.
He lands with a thump.
And a cloud of velvet soot
Partially covers
His huge bag of loot.
In a fit of good humor
He fills every stocking.
He places presents for all
Under the tree of white flocking.
He sees on a table
A carefully prepared snack.
Down goes the meal
Into a tummy of slight lack.
Then up through the chimney
With energy to spare,
He barely fits
By more than a hair.
Into his sleigh
And off oh so quick
This is Santa Claus
Also known as Saint Nick.
