Active Senior Barb Larsen Is Busy
Pep Club President

What constitutes an active senior girl? Many things, but a classic example is Pep club's chief executive ‑ Barb Larsen.

Besides presiding over Pep club's numerous activities, she has found time to be a nurse's helper, member of Stagecrafters, sophomore and junior class papers, the Westerner staff, and a senior leader.

Through her four years at Maine, Barb has had many pleasant and not‑so‑pleasant experiences. Some of the more pleasant ones are being a Homecoming queen nominee, being elected president of Pep club, and meeting a certain Maine West alumnus.

Besides devoting her time to school, Barb has managed to channel her abundant energies into other areas.

These areas include her parties at Romanos, driving through lover's lane with the brights on, taking long hikes with Carol Eustice, going to wild pajama parties, and eating steaks, exotic sundaes, and chocolate malts.

Being as peppy as she is has gotten this little miss into many humorous adventures from getting side swiped by an army tank to frequenting lonely graveyards.

Usually happy‑go‑lucky, there is little that bothers this girl, but her pet peeves are girls who wear too much eye make‑up, slow shoppers, and boring Sunday afternoons.

After graduation Barb plans to attend either Northern or Normal where she will major in elementary education.
