Mr. Raymond Ross, new assistant track coach, commented, "With a lot of hard work the track team should be able to do something again this year." Several good trackmen returning this year are Ray Leonardson '62, Lee Wolf '62, Bob Wagner '63, and Earl White '64.
Mr. Ross, who is in the business education department at Maine West, also has a degree in physical education. Last year he taught at McNabb High school and has plenty of coaching experience that will help the team. He is experienced not only in track but, also in basketball and baseball which he coached at McNabb.

He was the track starter at the junior high school meets in Carlinsville and also at the county track meets.
While attending Western university at Macomb, Illinois, he lettered in football. This may seem unusual because football is one of the few sports that he does not coach presently.
In his spare time, what little he has, Mr. Ross likes to go hunting or fishing. If he can't get away to the wild outdoors, he likes to relax and read a good book or listen to nice soft music.
