The 200 yard freestyle relay team is made up of Pat Gassner, Bill Schacht, Bruce Parsons, and Bill Eley. In an earlier meet this relay team also broke a Maine West school record.
Three other school records have been broken this year. Pat Gassner set a new school mark in the 100 yard freestyle, Bill Eley set a new mark in the 50 yard freestyle, and Phil Wankat bettered the old school mark in the 100 yard butterfly.
In their three previous meets, the mermen lost a very close meet to Oak Park, were trounced by a powerful Evanston team, and beat Prospect in a meet here at the Maine pool.
