Fashion Show To Be Given February 1

The Home Economics club, in cooperation with the Simplicity Pattern company, is pres en tin g "Fashion Memos," Thursday, February 1, in the school cafeteria. The show will feature 24 garments, which clothing students, wise in the ways of fashion, can sew for themselves.

Diane Smith, education consultant for Simplicity Pattern company, will be here to present the new teen wardrobe for spring. The show will start at 3:30 p.m. All girls are invited to attend.

"Fashion Memo" stresses the importance of taking notes to be fashion wise. Recent surveys report students forget important facts unless they write them down. To

speed sewing projects, the seamstress, who takes sewing notes and reads information from the pattern, will have an enjoyable experience when sewing.

The fashions that will be modeled come in various pattern types to allow for a wide variety of figure types. Clothing students find that buying the right pattern type will give them smart‑looking, fashion-wise clothes with a minimum of pattern alterations and fitting problems.

Students will model clothes that can be made by them to bring their fashion wardrobe up to date for spring. This is your opportunity to keep up to date with fashion.
