Bob Jonas was defeated by a Niles West opponent 4‑0 last Friday night. This loss ended his fabulous string of victories at 17. His varsity record since his sophomore year, including both dual meets and various tournaments, is 41‑6‑1 (a percentage of .865).

During his freshman year at Maine, Bob was second string on the freshman wrestling team, but in his sophomore season at West he immediately took possession of the varsity 95‑pound spot. That year he placed second in the district! tournament.

Bob received his greatest thrill at the end of his junior season when he took first place in district. Having suffered from stomach cramps, he collapsed at the sectional tournament. Bob was named the most valuable man on the wrestling squad last year.

"Sexy Eyes" attributes his success to the fact that he does not go out with girls during wrestling season. (At least that is what they say in Park Ridge). During the off‑season he can usually be found escorting a cute little blonde sophomore.
