Canar Twins Plan Future

This week the spotlight focuses on Mary and Mike Canar, twin personalities of the Senior class.

Mary's spare time is spent by taking part in GAA activities. She is a senior leader and an active member of the Senior class council. Mary is proud of being on the B honor roll, and claims that history and English are tops with her.

After finishing high school, Mary intends to work one year, and during that time make a decision whether to enter secretarial school or college. She says that social work interests her very much.

By lettering in cross country and taking part in track. Mike's problem of spare time is pretty well solved. This five foot 10 inch, blue‑eyed boy has been able to maintain a strong C average while participating in sports. Mike, like Mary, also has a liking for history, and science ranks second in his favorites. So far as future plans are concerned, Mike is contemplating either joining the Marines or furthering his education in college.

When asked for comments on being a twin, Mary replied, "It's crazy." Mary also reveals she and Mike both love pizza and music.
